Adult Christmas Party Games for Your Home or Office Party
Just because you’re an adult doesn’t mean you can’t play games at your Christmas party. Party games are a great way to break the ice and get guests talking. While everyone won’t want to play, you can certainly offer some fun activities for guests to partake in. There are several different adult Christmas party games that will have everyone laughing and having a fabulous time.
Games are only really appropriate at casual Christmas parties, so make sure to let your friends and family know what to expect when you send out invitation cards. Announce that it’s a causal party and to expect an evening of fun and games. This will also help get people in the mood.
A great alternative to games is a Christmas gift exchange. You can do a serious gift exchange in which everyone brings a gift under a determinate amount of money, or a sillier one where everyone brings a funny gag gift. Place all the gifts in a pile and draw numbers to see who chooses gifts and in what order. Each subsequent number may choose a gift from the pile or one that someone has already chosen. This is guaranteed to have everyone laughing and enjoying themselves.
Some great party game ideas include:
- Who am I (there are two variations of this game. In one each guest is assigned a celebrity and other must guess who they are based on yes or no questions. Alternatively you can stick the name of a celebrity on each guest's back and they must ascertain who they are based on questioning other guests).
- Christmas trivia (have guests answer trivia centered around Christmas)
- Christmas Pictionary
Be sure to have prizes for the winners along with some festive party favors. Complete the evening with Christmas food and music.
