How to Throw a First Birthday Party

Holding a first birthday party for your one-year-old can be a challenging affair, especially if you haven’t done this before. Invitations, decorations, food, preparing the space—all take thought. If this is your first child, you’re still busy learning how to be a parent to an ever-changing infant, and a party may seem overwhelming.

One way to organize your party is to hold a theme party. Once you have a theme, you can set up the party accordingly and let the guests know what to expect on the invitations. A party store will often have everything you need for a theme party.
