Disgusting Yet Delicious Halloween Party Food

Isn’t Halloween great? What other holiday gives you the excuse to serve gross and ghoulish party food? At Halloween, deviled eggs turn into eyeballs, Little Smokies become bloody fingers and party guests will eat snacks served in a cat litter tray. The ideas for fun with Halloween party food are endless.

Autumn party ideas often include traditional fall food such as carmel apples, popcorn balls and candy corn. These party foods are great Halloween fare, but if your party crowd wants something a little spookier, try the ideas below.

Some of the greatest Halloween food ideas can be found at The Family Corner (www.thefamilycorner.com). No one will ever forget a party that features Kitty Litter Cake, Boogers on a Stick or Hairball Salad with Saliva Dressing. Just hearing about these party foods makes you drool.

A Party with Punch

To add a frightening touch to the party punch, create floating hands. Fill two new latex gloves with punch. Close the ends tightly with rubber bands. Freeze the gloves. When it’s party time, float the hands in the punch.

For truly disgusting Halloween party punch, serve day-old bath water—or at least a tasty drink that looks just like the real thing. Thanks to The Family Center for this Halloween recipe.

Day Old Bath Water Party Punch
12-ounce can frozen lemonade
2 liters lemon lime soda
½ -gallon rainbow sherbet

Prepare lemonade according to the directions on the can. Add lemonade and soda to softened sherbet. As the sherbet melts, it will create grayish brown scum on top of the party punch. Yum!

At kids’ Halloween parties, the food is not just for eating. A bowl of pearl onions or peeled grapes becomes eyeballs for kids to feel. Cold spaghetti noodles are brains. Slimy beef liver is—well disgusting enough on its own to make kids squirm.
