Fun and Creative Halloween Party Games for Kids
If your child would like to host a Halloween party at your home, you have a lot of party planning ahead of you. The best place to start is by finding some Halloween party themes which will make the rest of your planning fall into place a little more easily. For instance, if you choose to have a haunted house party theme, you could have the children walk through a haunted house in order to get to the party room. Your decorations would have to be spooky and scary, complete with volunteers dressed up as mummies and vampires to jump out at the kids. Some fun games to play at a Halloween party include the obvious traditional ones such as bobbing for apples. Another great Halloween game is a gross taste test contest. Come up with some creepy names for everyday foods. For instance some gummy worms could be intestines. Blindfold the kids and have everyone sample gross foods. They should then secretly guess what it actually is. The child with the most gross foods right gets a prize. Kids love this game, but be sure to check for any food allergies before you start.
Balloon games are also fun at a kid’s Halloween party. Have them run relays while keeping a balloon stuck between their legs. This is a silly game that everyone can partake in. Try and not give candy as prizes for games since they will probably have their fair share from their own goodie bags.
Don’t Forget the Costumes!
To encourage kids to come up with some great costumes, also have a prize for best Halloween costume. In order to make sure each kid gets a prize you can have different categories and make sure everyone gets something. For instance, you could have a prize for scariest costume, cutest costume, and most creative costume.
