Halloween Party Games are a Great Icebreaker

Halloween party games are a great way to break the ice between guests that don’t know each other and help make the evening more fun for everyone. When choosing party games to play keep in mind that if you are having a costume party it may be difficult for some guests to play certain games. Choose some games that everyone will be able to play easily. This typically leaves out Halloween games, such as bobbing for apples, since this often requires people to get their faces wet and ruin their carefully applied theatrical makeup.

Finding games to play at a Halloween party for kids is very simple. Kids will love any Halloween games that involve prizes and anything silly. At your Halloween party there are many different and easy types of games you can set up for the kids.

Rather than a pin the tail on the donkey game, why not pin the nose on the pumpkin? You can either use a real pumpkin (which is much easier once kids find the pumpkin), or a drawing of one stuck on the wall.

Be sure to have some fun Halloween party food on hand for the little guests. Of course have plenty of candy as well as chips and some fun cupcakes designed as some Halloween characters. You can also find many easy bake cookies with Halloween designs at your local grocery store.

Pass the orange – kids must put an orange under their chins and pass it around a circle. Play music, when the music stops whoever has the orange is out. Last person out gets a prize.
Helium balloon relay – divide kids into two teams. Each team member must race to the other side of the room and back with a balloon between their legs. If they drop the balloon it’s back to the start.
Scavenger hunt – This is best done outside while it’s still light out. Give the kids clues and let them find the treasures hidden.
