It’s a Jungle of Helium Balloons Out There

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Imagine the fun your child will have at her next birthday party when you create a floating jungle from helium balloons!

Animal balloons can fit into many party themes including zoo and jungle parties, and Ice Age or Lion King birthdays. You can buy animal-shaped Mylar balloons or create your own animals from helium-filled latex balloons.

To create a jungle filled with latex balloon animals, buy 12- or 14-inch round balloons in animal colors (orange, brown, yellow, black, gray, green). Buy or rent a tank filled with balloon helium. On the day of the party, fill the balloons and make animals following these simple steps:

To make animal faces, inflate balloons with helium then draw facial features on the balloons with permanent markers. Add construction paper accents like a lion’s mane or elephant’s ears. Use air-inflated balloons of different shapes for features like the elephant’s trunk.
