Think Groups When Planning Party Games for TeenagersTeenagers like to do things in groups. Keep this in mind when you plan party games for teenagers. Choose teen party games that don’t put any one teen on the spot but encourage everyone to participate in the fun. Group party games can include informal activities like pool or foosball and organized party games like relays and trivia contests. Try these teen party ideas: Donuts and Straws GameGive each teen a straw. Divide teens into teams and give each team a donut. To win the game, team members must put the straws in their mouths and pass the donut from one teen to another without touching it with their hands or dropping it. Scavenger HuntSend teens out in groups to gather items on a list. Items might include a colored paper clip, a roll of toilet paper and a car air freshener. The first team of teens to gather all of their items and return to the party wins this group party game and gets first shot at the party foods. Forbidden Word GameGive teenagers a clothespin when they arrive at the party. Have a forbidden word like “guys” or “school” or the birthday person’s name. If someone hears another teen use that word, they take their clothespin. The teen with the most clothespins wins the party game and a gets a gift certificate for a pizza. Treasure HuntThis is another version of a scavenger hunt. Divide teens into teams. Give each team a clue they must follow. Teens must figure out the clue to locate a second clue. The clues will eventually lead teens to a team prize. This is a fun party game that will take a little planning and set up but will be worth the effort. Not Me GameGather random baby pictures of celebrities and mix in pictures of the birthday teen. Hang the pictures around the room. See if guests can pick out which ones are not their friend.
