slumber parties are lots of fun for all ages |

Planning a Slumber Party for All AgesSlumber parties are essential to the fun of childhood and can take many forms. Even with just one guest, a few touches can turn an evening into a slumber party. With more kids, you can set up some indoor group party games: board games, charades, trivia games, or even group craft projects. Offer several to choose from. Have a pampering party where guests give each other facials and manicures. Party food should be fun and some of it nourishing so everyone doesn’t get a sugar crash. Homemade pizza, subs, veggies and dip, make-your-own sundaes, or a pasta bar are some great food ideas. Keep plenty of water and soda on hand to get everyone through the night. Popcorn is an easy and tasty favorite to satisfy everyone’s appetites as a late-night snack. And don’t forget breakfast! Fresh donuts, omelettes, or pancakes will get everyone moving in the morning. Make it a Theme PartyHow about party favors? They should fit with the theme of the party and be something guests can take home and enjoy. Small bottles of hand lotion or other ‘pampering’ products are a nice touch. Aromatherapy soap in little bags, bath salts, and travel size cosmetics are fun and useful. A tiny journal or notepad with a decorative pen is another great party favor to use at home. Create a party invitation with little notions from a craft supply store. These days you can find plenty of supplies for making your own. To personalize the invitations for someone’s birthday or for the hostess of the party, make your own invitations that fit into that person’s favorite hobbies and toys. Glue objects on the party invitation that relate to that person’s interests: ballet shoes, a soccer ball, a piano, and so on. Or, make it simple: design your own invitation on the computer and print it out. Most important, have fun! Related Articles
